Faisal, buddies raped girl; threatened to upload rape video
Hyderabad:The police has finally arrested Faisal Dayyani, 26, a gym coach, the prime accused in the alleged attack on a couple at Jalpally in Pahadishareef about a month ago. Faisal Dayani was nabbed by a special police party on Thursday.
Cops said that Faisal along and his buddies had allegedly gangraped the 18-year-old woman and robbed them. The victims who were scared of the attackers didn’t disclose the facts in full at the time of filing the FIR. However, they revealed it later.
Shamshabad division ACP R. Sudershan said that Faisal and six of his friends trespassed into a farmhouse at Shaheen Nagar where the victim and her fiance went for a party organised by their relatives.
Faisal Dayani, Khadar Barakba, Tayyab Basalama, Mohammed Parvez, Syed Anwar, Khaja Ahmed and Mohammed Ibrahim entered the farmhouse by jumping the boundary wall. They attacked security personnel, caught the couple and forced the woman to strip after threatening her with a snake. They also videographed the attack using cell phones and threatened to upload it on the Internet.
Later, the gang sexually assaulted her. “While Dayani, Khadar, Tayyab and Parvez raped the woman the other three caught hold of her fiancé. The gangsters also robbed them of Rs 6,000, a gold chain and a gold ring, and a pair of sun glasses. They also snatched the keys of their car,” Mr Sudershan said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s fiance on July 31, the police formed special teams and managed to nab three of the accused. Another three surrendered before court. Mr Sudhershan said that Khadar Barakba was earlier involved in a murder case.
Two persons, Salam Hamdi, a travel agent and Ali Barakba, an autorickshaw driver were also arrested for providing shelter and helping the culprits evade arrest, Mr Sudershan said. The police seized a Scorpio car, four bikes and gold ornaments from the gang. The cops also seized their cell phones and found several MMS clips with similar content. The police have appealed to all rape victims to come forward and lodge complaints.
Cases under the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act and Sections 452, 323, 395, 506, 34, 212 and 411 of IPC were registered against the gangsters.
