Bangkok had been the number one overseas destination for Indian travellers

Chennai: Chennai is among the two southern cities in the country that continues to remain among the top seven destinations for overseas travellers to India. Along with Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Jaipur continued to adorn the top seven spots for overseas travellers to India, while Kolkata is the new entrant at eighth spot.

Agra, which was at ninth position in the first half of 2013, did not make it to the top 10 destinations this time, according to the latest Hotel Price Index (HPI) by online accommodation booking website Hotels.com. London, New York continued to retain the fourth and fifth spot respectively while Paris, which ranked the tenth position in the H1 2013, has moved upwards to the eight slot, edging Las Vegas and Kuala Lumpur to the ninth and tenth position respectively.
