Marriage sop for muslims

Hyderabad: Telangana state government has enhanced the marriage grant to poor Muslim girls from Rs 25,000 to Rs 51,000. Even for those under the Kalyana Laxmi scheme, the government has decided to revise the grant from Rs 50,000 to Rs 51,000.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who announced the government decision, said the government would directly deposit the cheques in the name of beneficiaries who already have a bank account, or open an account.
