Xiaomi CEO takes the ice bucket challenge

Ice bucket challenge meant to raise awareness about a neurodegenerative disease

Mumbai: Recently a lot of celebrities have taken the ice bucket challenge to raise awareness about a neurodegenerative disease. The disease is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. It attacks nerve cells and often starts with muscle twitching and weakness. Roughly three-quarters of people with the disease die within five years.

‘The Ice Bucket Challenge’ requires people to pour ice cold water over themselves and post their videos on the internet. The aim is to raise money and awareness of the neurodegenerative disease.

A few days earlier, Microsoft’s employees took the ice bucket challenge, in turn challenging the CEO of Flipkart.

Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi Tech, the fifth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, took the challenge. He has further tagged Chinese celebrity Andy Lau, Foxconn's Terry Gou and Baidu CEO Robin Li.
