Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa greets people on Krishna Jayanthi

The festival is celebrated with lot of fervour by painting rangoli
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday extended her wishes to people on the eve of Krishna Jayanthi.
In an official statement, the Chief Minister said that the festival is celebrated with lot of fervour by painting rangoli and making delicacies which are believed to be the favourite of Lord Krishna, besides serving butter and dressing up little children like Him to mark His birth in human form.
Citing from Bhagavad Gita, she said Lord Krishna preached that one could achieve success if he takes up all his endeavours without any expectations, and called on one and all to uphold dharma.
