Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao unveils grand plans for Hyderabad

Government was committed to enhancing the “brand image” of Hyderabad
Hyderabad:Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday unveiled his grand plans for Hyderabad during his Independence Day speech. He said his government was committed to enhancing the “brand image” of Hyderabad and bringing it on a par with top international cities. He added that the city was all set to become a complete “4G Wi-Fi enabled city” soon and the government had already entered into an agreement with private parties to make this a reality.
He said that the city would be made safer for women and that maintaining law and order, and modernisation of the police force in the city, were on top of the government’s agenda. “We are giving utmost priority to maintaining law and order in the city to ensure that people live peacefully and comfortably and women employees attend their duties without any fear.
For this, the police machinery has to be strengthened and modernised and we are ready to incur any expenditure required for this. We have already released Rs 340 crore to provide ultra-modern police vehicles with hi-tech facilities for effective policing. On Thursday itself, I handed over hundreds of new vehicles to the police to ensure that they reach crime spots within minutes,” Mr Rao said.
Stating that the government had devised plans to take the IT sector to the “next level”, he said, “We have decided to set up a large incubator facility to give fillip to the IT industry. The works are moving fast and the facility will be launched soon.” He said his dream was to make Hyderabad, a “slumless city” within five years and for that, construction of flats for the poor would be taken up in slums.
