Here’s why August 15 is auspicious

Jupiter is entering Cancer and the relationship between both planets is good

Hyderabad: With the auspicious month of Shravan here, many weddings and housewarmings are lined up. Astrologers say that the month, especially August 15, is auspicious for various reasons.

Astrologer Sandeep Bhargava says, “Jupiter is entering Cancer and the relationship between both planets is good. Because of this, one gets a lot of positivity and stability, and hence one would have a long term relationship with whatever they start, be it a new business venture or a new relationship.”

“Shravan is the only month when lord Shiva listens to all the prayers of His devotees and grants them.

During this time farmers also pray for monsoons and a healthy crop. Also, all festivities start from Shravan. We have Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtami followed by other important Hindu festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra and Diwali. So Shravan is the month when people get into the mood for festivities.”

Talking about why August 15 is auspicious, Sandeep says, “On August 15, there is Sarva Karya Siddhi Yog, which means that everything that you will do on this day will be fruitful. One would also be entitled to Sarvartha Siddhi Yog, which means that new business ventures will yield good financial results.”

According to Ganeshaspeaks.com, the month is also good for seeking redemption from our sins. “Worshipping the greatest Hindu God and seeking redemption and salvation is most important during Shravan. People also worship Lord Vishnu during this month, and seek redemption from their sins. This time is about internal cleansing, thus, it is considered best for starting new healthy routines and establishing new worship patterns.

All Mondays falling in this month are considered very auspicious, and fasting on these days is said to bring great rewards and peace of mind,” says an astrologer from the portal, adding, “People can make the most of this time by leading an austere lifestyle, by eating lesser and meditating more.”
