Andhra Pradesh CM hints at three mega, 16 smart cities

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hinted at developing three mega and 16 smart cities in Andhra Pradesh. He said that connectivity should be improved for faster growth of the region.
Addressing a collectors’ conference here on Thursday, he stressed on the need for improving infrastructure. Expressing regret over convening the first collectors’ conference in a hotel, he said infrastructure should be improved. The CM said urban amenities should be provided in rural areas.
Earlier, chief commissioner for land acquisition, Ms Chandana Khan welcomed the gathering.
Addressing the collectors, minister for revenue K.E. Krishna Murthy stressed on the need for reducing human interface and development of IT in revenue administration. He said that collectors should protect government lands by identifying the property with the help of GPS survey.
