Bhansali yells a lot, I told him to see how Sooraj Barjatya directs: Salman
Mumbai: Salman Khan is currently in Karjat shooting with Sooraj Barjatya for his next, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’. Two days back, on 5th August, 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun', a blockbuster, completed 20 glorious years. The two of them recorded an exclusive chat talking about the film and sharing interesting anecdotes about each other.
Salman Khan was all praise for Sooraj about his innocence and how he keeps the atmosphere on the set very peaceful. He furthed added, " The best quality he has which every director should have is his temperament, the way he is on the sets… I have worked with other directors also and have given them his example. Till the time, the working atmosphere is not good… It has to be excellent for the actor to perform. How can you make him ( actor) do a romantic or a comedy scene if he is in a bad mood."
Salman has worked with Bhansali in the past and its known in the industry thing that this director doesn't have a good history when it comes to dealing with his own people on the sets. In fact, years back they were shocking reports about Bhansali throwing phones on his assistant directors, probably battling anger management issues.
In the recorded interview Salman Khan said, “One day I saw Sanjay Leela Bhansali yelling, in fact he does that a lot. I had to tell him, you should go out and hang out with Sooraj for a bit, just go and see how he directs. What is this throwing things and stuff like that."
Salman Khan has worked with SLB in 'Khamoshi', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and has done a cameo in ‘Saawariya’.
