Split leaves Andhra Pradesh with no press

All three government printing offices in Hyderabad have gone to Telangana
Hyderabad: Daily, a truck load of AP government printing material reaches the state headquarters from Kurnool, which is 200 km away. Reason, all three government printing offices, located in the state capital, have gone to Telangana post bifurcation.
Though there was a clear division of administration and accounts, there were no such arrangements as far as printing presses are concerned during bifurcation.
The Kurnool press now works overtime to meet deadlines. Printing of official gazettes, ordinances, bills, office letter heads of various authorities, etc. are looked after by it. And its task would increase manifold during the Budget session of AP Legislature as the questions would have to be printed and handed over to Assembly staff on the same day.
“It is not possible to send the printing material from Kurnool to Hyderabad on daily basis for Assembly
“The printing press has gone to Telangana Legislature and they are refusing to oblige us,” said one AP government official.
