Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department arrested two persons, including an MBA student, who allegedly created objectionable political cartoons of Araku MP Kothapalli Geeta and posted them on Facebook.
The arrested were identified as I. Ravi Kiran, 38 son of Seshagiri Rao a resident of Shadnagar in Mahbubnagar and P. Suresh Krishna, 23, a resident of Ongole. Suresh is a MBA student. The accused Ravi Kiran created a FB page containing political cartoons and posted them on the web on July 30 and 31, whereas Suresh made vulgar comments on the page posted by Ravi Kiran.
CID IG, Ch. D. Tirumala Rao said, “ This is a case of cyber stalking where one pasted nasty photo and many made comments on it. The accused will be produced in court on Wednesday.”
