Hyderabad: Residents of Jahanuma area in Falaknuma woke up to a shocking scene on Wednesday morning. They found two infants crying beside the body of their murdered mother, in front of the Government School.
The unidentified woman, in her early 30s, was hit with blunt weapons on her head by the assailants, who had thrown her body near the school compound wall. The attackers also left a baby girl, barely a few weeks old, and a one-year-old boy near the body. Child Line officials came forward to take care of the infants and the Falaknuma police shifted the body to the mortuary.
The body was found near the compound wall of the Government School along with a plastic bag stuffed with old clothes. The children were not harmed, and were found to be healthy.
Police officials suspect the woman was murdered somewhere else, and the body was dumped near the wall.
“She had deep gashes on her forehead. Though a few clothes and her chappals were found near the body, no other clues revealing her identity were found,” said Falaknuma additional inspector M. Surender.
Police has initiated efforts to identify the woman.
A case has been registered under IPC Section 302 for murder.
