Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy hits out at CM on ‘nativity’

Hyderabad: Criticising Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for intending to implement 1956 as the base year for recognising nativity of Telangana state, BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said such restrictions will hurt poor students, especially the SC,ST and BC.
Addressing a media conference here on Friday, Mr Kishan Reddy asked the Chief Minister whether he could secure a nativity certificate from his own village, Chintamadaka, in Medak district.
“There are no records available in villages. Thousands of families migrated to different places and many of them settled in places other than their native places. How is it possible for them to secure nativity certificates?’ Mr Kishan Reddy said.
“In order to cover up his failure to provide relief to farmers and unable to implement election promises, the TRS leader seems to be raking up the nativity row to deny even genuine students their fee reimbursement,” the BJP leader said.
