Southampton: The Ashes winning England skipper Michael Vaughan revealed that he dined with India’s batting star Virat Kohli on Tuesday at Southampton.
India and England were involved in a Test at the Ageas Bowl and these two wasted no time in catching up at a Brazilian restaurant. This information was revealed by Vaughan during his BBC Radio stint.
What these two discussed still remains a mystery. But it would be great if Virat Kohli had pestered the stylish English batsman with queries about how to improve his off-side play.
Tipped as the leader of India’s young middle order, Kohli has been struggling in England’s swing friendly conditions. While there were a shade or two of his class during the six innings, he has not put up a big score in the ongoing Test series.
Kohli can definitely approach Vaughan on his own. But it would not be surprising if India’s coach Duncan Fletcher, who was England’s coach during their Ashes win under Vaughan, had suggested Kohli about seeking Vaughan’s advice.
