Hyderabad: The last rites of Hyderabadi wing commander Thakur Narsing Bhagat Singh who died in the UP in the IAF Dhruv chopper crash were performed in Bareilly.
Mr Singh was the first to spot the crashed chopper of YSR at Pavurallagutta during the search operation in 2009. He was also involved in the Kargil operation.
The IAF hailed his services stating that he died while saving hundreds on the ground.
The mishap took place near Ataria about 70 km from Lucknow on July 25. Singh was in command of the Dhruv carrying six others.

Defence circeles said that he was fondly called TNB and was born at the BHEL Colony in Ramachandrapura. He did his schooling at the BHEL Higher Secondary School and later joined Pune NDA and was commissioned in the IAF in 1995.
Singh is survived by his wife Jaya Rawat who is also a flying officer of IAF and daughter Shanaya.
He worked at the IAF station at Hakimpet in June 2008 as a flying instructor.
In December 2013, he was specifically selected to command an ALH unit based at Bareilly.
Singh was also involved in Operation Rahat in Uttarakhand and flood relief operations in Kurnool district.
