Delhi side beat Pune team by nail biting four point margin

Mumbai: Dabang Delhi secured their first full points in the Pro Kabaddi League with a nail-biting 35-31 victory over Puneri Paltan in the fifth match of the eight-team league at the NSCI complex here in Mumbai. This was Dehi’s first win in the tournament while Pune lost their second game in as many days. Pune who are fast developing a reputation of coming back strongly from a position of no-hope threatened to change the script dramatically in the second half after trailing 22-15 at half-time, but Delhi somehow managed to hold on to the lead.
Delhi’s win was largely possible thanks to star-raider Surjeet Narwal who had 13 raids to his name. Delhi’s performance in the second half was in stark contrast to the first where came out all guns blazing. It required Delhi just three minutes to inflict an all-out atatck on Pune.
