Online tickets to curtail wait for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams darshan

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to cancel VIP recommendation letters for the TTD darshan. The government also decided to accommodate 800 to 1,000 devotees in TTD darshan.

Endowments minister P. Manikyala Rao said on Monday that the government will introduce online booking facility for the '300 tickets. He said that the state is trying to reduce the darshan wait time to almost 6-7 hours. All temples, including TTD, will be brought under the purview of the RTI Act. Properties and income of all the temples in the state will be put on the website for the public.

The endowments department has also decided to start English-medium schools in every district for propaganda of Bharatiya Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

The minister said that they have decided to set up solar system in all the temples in the state.

The minister also said that an Ordinance will be brought in the next Cabinet to dissolve all the temple committees constituted by the previous government.
