Id has always been special, says television stars

Television stars are excited to celebrated Id-Ul-Fitr with their family and friends

Mumbai: Television stars walk down the memory lane and share their dearest childhood Id memories.

Anas Rashid: Id always brings back memories of the big joint family that I grew up in. Kheer was prepared in huge vessels. Once it was served to everybody in the house, my cousins and I would line up to have the remaining kheer off the vessel. This year I’ve taken a three-day leave from my shoot to go home and celebrate with family. My cousins settled in different parts of the world will also be joining us. My nephews and nieces have given me a huge shopping list of the gifts they are expecting.

Sanjeeda Sheikh: Id has always been special to me and I make it a point to make it special for my friends and family as well. The most memorable one, however, is the one right after my wedding. My mother had thrown me a surprise Id party where she invited my friends and relatives. I make sheer kurma every Id for my husband and me and also send it to all my friends.

Ruslaan Mumtaz: My favourite Id memory is the kadak (crisp) Rs 10 notes that I used to get as Idi; I used to always save those notes and never spend them on anything. My mum has saved those notes till date and says she will give them to my children. My favourite part is also having kheema pav for breakfast right after the morning namaaz.
