Muslim unions rally against Gaza attack

The rally raised slogans against Zionist terrorism in Palestinian

Kollam: Various Muslim organisations in the State united to organize a solidarity rally in Kollam on Friday to mark their protest against the Israeli attack on Gaza. The rally raised slogans against Zionist terrorism and the Government’s disinterest in the Palestinian issue.

The rally started at 2.30 pm from the Asramam Link road and wound up at the Kumar Theatre junction. The Modi Government had taken a one-sided stand towards Israel’s massacre in Palastine, alleged Moovattupuzha Ashraf Maulavi, Kadappakkada Juma Masjid Imam, while addressing the gathering. India should be willing to disconnect all strategic partnerships with Israel, he demanded.

“The Palestine issue is not an issue of Muslims alone. The UN is also biased as it is not willing to lay siege to Israel,” he added. Various Islamic organisations including the Imam’s Council and Jama’ath-e-Islami took part in the rally.
