Hyderabad: Investors have got some good news; in a little over one month’s time, the environmental clearances would be issued online.
“We have already launched the web-based forest clearances system. Now we will be launching a similar web-based system for environmental clearances on September 1, for the mining clearances on November 1 and for all the coal related clearances in the fourth quarter of the current financial year,” said Project Monitoring Group chairman Anil Swarup on Friday.
Most of projects have got stuck because of the delays in environmental clearances.
Among the projects that PMG under Cabinet Committee on Investment monitors, he said 44 per cent are stalled because of environmental issues, while others due to lack of coal linkages.
