Chandrababu Naidu asks ministers to sack assistants

CM told his ministers not to appoint staff who worked earlier under Congress ministers

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is particular about not appointing “old staff” in ministers’ peshis.

The CM told his ministers not to appoint as their personal staff those who worked earlier in the peshis Congress ministers.

Out of 19 ministers, the old staff are continuing only in four ministers peshis. The CM asked the officials to send the file on ministers’ staff. The file was sent on Wednesday.

Finance minister Y. Ramakrishnudu asked his Officer on Special Duty Srinivasa Rao to join his parent department.

Senior retired officers Gopalam and Kasinath who worked in the previous Congress minister’s peshis are now working as OSDs to revenue minister K.E. Krishna Murthy and transport minister Sidda Raghava Rao respectively.

Mr Subrahmanyam who worked as PS to former Congress minister Thota Narasimham is now working as PS to endowment minister P. Manikyala Rao.

Subba Raju who worked as additional PA to former Congress minister Danam Nagendar is working as additional PA to agriculture minister Prattipati Pulla Rao and Mr Prasad who worked in former Congress minister Ahmadulah is now working in revenue minister KE Krishna Murthy’s peshi. According to Sources the Chief Minister told the ministers to send old staff and make alternate arrangements.
