Now, VFX comes to Television

Star Plus’ new show, Airlines, will be full of visual effects by Pixion

Mumbai: With production values on the small screen now mimicking those you find in Bollywood, can VFX and other computer graphics be far behind?

Star Plus’ new show, Airlines, for instance, will be full of visual effects by Pixion, the same studio that has worked on films like Singham, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Barfi, Krrish etc. This will be their first TV show.

Viral Thakker, the creative head of Pixion, said that raising the standard of visual effects on Indian television was always something the studio wanted to work on.

“We were fortunate that channel supported our vision with Airlines. The show has all the ingredients and the scope to take visual effects for television to the next level. Also, Star Plus gave us a decent amount of time to work on the details of the VFX for the show, thus allowing us to achieve what we had in mind,” he added.
