Mumbai: Ishant Sharma's family will not celebrate on their son winning the Man of the Match (MoM) award at Lord's on Monday.
"No, we have no plan to celebrate Ishant's performance today. We are happy with Team India's victory which has come after so many years but will hold the party only if our team wins the series abroad", Ishant's father, Vijay Sharma said over telephone from Delhi.
"We didn't watch the match today. Being an auspicious Monday and our one time fasting, we went out on walks with friends and only there I received a call from someone congratulating me on India's victory and Ishant's MoM performance".
"Me and Ishant's mother, Grisha would now watch the highlights of the match", he added.
Ishant's performance has enabled him to have his name on Lord's Honours Board. Ishant Sharma is the only batsman among Lord's 22 players who has never scored 50 in Test innings.
