MLAs happy with Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's promises

CM's decision to implement poll sops thrilled TRS ministers

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s decision to implement most of the poll sops has thrilled the TRS ministers, legislators and leaders. Celebrations were witnessed in Telangana Bhavan. Across the state, people burst crackers and distributed sweets in Warangal, Sangareddy, Nizamabad, Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar, Adilabad and other districts.

Mr Rao’s announcement on Wednesday night to waive the loan of Rs 1lakh for farmers has come as big relief to the TRS ministers who were anxious about facing farmers seeking immediate implementation of the promise in view of the kharif season. “It’s a big achievement to fulfill 43 promises in a month-and-a-half of the TRS rule. The government will release the required funds for development of all villages in a phased manner,” said T. Harish Rao, minister for Irrigation.

Mr Harish Rao was attending Mana Voru Mana Pranalika programme at Choudrypalli village in Wargal mandal of Medak district. He was furious at the absence of Transco AE and ADE and ordered issuance of memos to them.

“The Chief Minister has kept his the promise he made to the people during the elections. It’s a great day,” remarked forest minister Jogu Ramanna.
Sources said that the Chief Minister is now keen to focus on strengthening the party at all levels.

“The recent entry of large number of legislators, leaders and others from the Congress and the Telugu Desam has filled the gaps in many districts, especially Ranga Reddy. The TRS government and party are now in control of big chunk of the state politically. Assembly, Council and majority of Zilla Parishads, MPPs are under the TRS, which will be easy for the government to implement its policies and programmes effectively,” a senior party leader said.

In fact, newly nominated MLC and TRS politburo member Karne Prabhakar hailed the decision of the Chief Minister. “The Chief Minister has stood by his word. The TRS government has proved its mettle in a short span of one-and-half month,” he said.
