Bought that new BlackBerry Z3 that was just launched? Great! But now you realize that transferring your data from the older smartphone to the new BB is a pain.
Well, not really. Transferring data such as contacts and calendar is most easy by using an app. So weather you are using your iPhone or Android or even an older BlackBerry 7 smartphone, switching to the newer handset is quick and easy.
Simply download the app called Device Switch from your respective app stores and run them. Now connect the two handsets to the same wireless network. The app will detect the other device and ask you for a pin number to transfer the data to the new device. Choose the content you want to transfer—contacts, photos, calendar, etc, and the data will be pushed to the new handset. Once received, the BlackBerry 10 OS will analyse the received data and restore the data to the respective sections. The process should take you a maximum 30 minutes, depending on how much of data you have.
