Ranveer Singh reveals details of his 'Dil Dhadakne Do' character

The actor will play the role of Kabir opposite actress Anushka Sharma

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh who is currently in Turkey shooting for Zoya Akthar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, has been frequently updating us with pictures of his whereabouts, quality time with his co-stars and much more. In a recent interview with a Turkish newspaper, Hürriyet, the actor gave away some very interesting details about the movie's plot.

As most of us already know that the story revolves around a dysfunctional family that sets out on a Euro holiday cruise, the star gave out a few more details. He said, "In the movie we are portraying a family that doesn't get along and fights a lot with each other, we are putting that on the big screen. This family is also on a cruise trip, they go to places like Turkey, Spain and Italy. The movie starts in Istanbul. The view is incredible, the Bogaz bridge, Istiklal Caddesi."

Ranveer will be playing the role of Kabir a rich kid who meets Farah played by none other than his good friend Anushka Sharma. He said, “Ever since his childhood, he was raised to take over his father's company. But this isn't what he wants to do. He loves planes, he wants to be a pilot. Because of this miscommunication he is in a lot of pain.”

“And of course until he meets Farah played be Anushka Sharma... Farah is someone who escaped from her home because of her love for dance and she is someone who followed her dreams and passion and because of that she is epitomizing the person Kabir wants to be. The girl is a free bird; Kabir is in a cage... After meeting with her, Kabir tries to escape the situation he is in."

The actor also spoke about working with his co-star, Anushka Sharma, he said, “We play two lovers in the film but in real life, she is my very good friend .Anushka is one of my first friends in the film industry. She has a good heart and is a very honest and lovable person. I think she's one of the industry's most beautiful and talented actors.”
