Mumbai: Our khabrus from the sets of Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha tell us that lead actress Deepika Padukone has asked to be put up in a hotel different from where the other cast and crew members are staying, for the duration of the overseas shoot. The reason, we hear, is because Dippy wants to avoid the possibility of running into Katrina Kaif, in case she happens to visit Tamasha star Ranbir Kapoor.
“Deepika also wants a certain amount of privacy, in case her current beau Ranveer Singh drops by,” our source says. “Her private life has been under the scanner a little too much of late, and she wants to avoid any unpleasant or awkward situations that may provide further grist for the rumour mills.”
Incidentally, Deepika also booked a different flight from the one Ranbir was booked on to get to the shoot location. Our source says that after reports of her meeting with Ranveer in Barcelona were widely published, Dippy has learnt her lesson the hard way.
“With Ranbir, she wants to keep it as professional as possible, even as she tries to avoid her relationship with Ranveer from making headlines,” the source adds.
Deepika’s close associates, however, have denied that she has asked for separate arrangements to be made.
