Three Supermoons this year, one tomorrow

The Supermoon will be best visible from the Unites States, and a few other countries

Last year around the same time, the similar event made headlines with people flocking to the highest point to photograph the moon in its biggest visible size and at full brightness. This year again, the Supermoon was be visible on July 12, with another two similar events in the following months, one on August 10 and the other on September 9.

The scientific term for Supermoon phenomenon is actually known as ‘Perigee Moon’, where the moon at the closest point to the Earth’s surface while in its regular oval orbit around the Earth. This phenomenon occurs every 13 months and 18 days. However, don’t expect the moon to be extra-large as compared to what you regularly see up in the sky everyday. The difference is impossible to see with the naked eye.

According to NASA, it is not easy to tell the difference between a Supermoon and an ordinary full Moon. The brightness of the Moon can be masked by the clouds and haze in the atmostphere.
