Shortage of CNG to continue in Hyderabad

State government and companies have no clue as to how long CNG shortage will continue

Hyderabad: The CNG supply shortage, that hit the city owing to the recent Gail pipeline blast at Nagaram, is expected to continue for some more days. The state government and the companies have no clue as to how long this will continue and the time required for the restoration work.

The minister for food and civil supplies Etala Rajender directed C. Parthasarathi, the commissioner of civil supplies, to review the CNG and LPG supplies in Hyderabad and the entire Telangana state.

Mr Parthasarathi will be holding a meeting with the state-level coordinator and officers of HPCL, BPCL and IOC on Thursday, “We have asked representatives of all the companies to discuss and review the situation after this review, alternatives can be planned and the time duration for this reduction in supply can be analysed,” said C. Parthasarathi.
