AR Rahman’s sister makes a tribute track for Ithu Namma Chennai

She is composing track that will feature number of singers and prominent Chennaites

Chennai: Music has always been an important part of Chennai’s culture and to celebrate its role as well as the people who make the city unique, music director A.R Raihanah is working on a music video. As brand ambassador of Raindropss, a youth-based social organization, she is composing a track that will feature a number of singers and prominent Chennaites.

Oscar winner A.R. Rahman has always been one to step forward and support any cause that promotes harmony, and it’s no surprise that his sister too is working for a similar cause. Leading playback singers are expected to be a part of this project, which has been titled Ithu Namma Chennai.

The track will be screened and launched during the Madras Week in August, and all the celebrities who are a part of the video are expected to be present at the launch.

“Raindropss is known to deliver social awareness messages to the public in the form of theme songs and short films, and we are sure this video will succeed in spreading the message,” said Aravind Jayapal, founder and creative head of Raindropss.
