Neil escapes a fire mishap on set

Mumbai: Actor Neil Bhatt was trapped on the sets of Diya Aur Baati Hum recently, when it caught fire due to an AC blast.

“The AC that caught fire was right outside my make-up room. Within minutes there was smoke everywhere and then a complete blackout. The bravest people were the light and spot guys who helped people get out of the sets. The only help I could offer was to get the injured people into the ambulance. Next, I wrapped a napkin around my face and went back in to get any belongings that could be salvaged. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt and those with minor injuries are recovering.”
