Foreign help to stop cyber crime

Ministry of home affairs would initiate joint programmes with police forces of other nations

Hyderabad: The NDA government has zero tolerance for terrorism, Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju said here on Sunday. Inaugurating a seminar on national security at the National Police Academy, Mr Rijiju said that Maoism is a big security challenge in the country. “Besides the external threat, we have a huge home grown threat,” he said addressing trainee IPS officers at the Academy.

Mr Rijiju said the ministry of home affairs would initiate joint programmes with police forces of other nations to tackle cyber crime. Praising united AP police, he said that it was successful in curbing Maoism. Pointing out the importance of internal security forces, Mr Rijiju said the police should make citizens feel secure. Talking to the media about the violence in UP’s Moradabad district, he said the ministry of home affairs (MHA) had sought a report from the Uttar Pradesh government. "I cannot comment on UP’s law and order now, because I have to see the report first,” said Mr Rijiju.
