I don’t plan anything, says Shivin Narang

"Farnaz and I share a good bond off-screen"

Mumbai: Shivin Narang is television’s latest poster boy. The handsome hunk, who plays Ranvijay in Veera, has quite a fan following among young ladies.

“I think it is the character I play that makes me appealing. Fans say that they like my eyes, my honesty and my performance on the show. My character Ranvijay is very shy and introvert person. But off-screen I am an extrovert.”

In television, unlike in films, actresses are known to have meatier roles. But Shivin has never felt insecure about that. “I think both men and women enjoy equal importance in the industry. The characters I play have made me popular. I was always confident of getting noticed,” he says.

Shivin recalls that when he had started out, people mistook him for another popular television actor Shashank Vyas, as the actors share an uncanny resemblance.

“I didn’t mind the comparison as I used to follow his show Balika Vadhu for the longest time. When I met him we had discussed this case of mistaken identities.”

Shivin is known to share a close rapport with his co-stars, especially Farnaz Shetty, who he’s rumoured to be dating. He denies the rumour. “We both share a good bond off-screen. She’s a very good friend of mine. I am single. There is no idea of romance as such in my mind, it will happen the way it is meant to be. I don’t plan anything in life. I just go with the flow.”

The actor, who is seen pampering his on-screen sister played by Digangana Suryavanshi, reveals that in real life too he is protective of her. He says, “I call her Noddy. She is really like a sister to me.”

Being one of the youngest actors on the sets, Shivin admits that he is spoilt by the rest of the team.

Shivin reveals, “Digangana and I are the youngest on the sets, so everyone pampers us a lot. They know I like chocolate so they get chocolates for me and make sure I have my food on time, besides taking care of my every small need.”
