Saket City Hospital on an expansion plan

The hospital said it will invest around Rs 350 crore to add 350 more beds

New Delhi: Saket City Hospital, part of the diversified conglomerate B K Modi-led Smart Global, on Friday said it will invest over Rs 350 crore to add around 350 beds in the city-based healthcare institution by 2016. “We will invest over Rs 350 crore to add around 350 beds in Saket City Hospital by 2016. This will be in addition to 252 beds we currently have,” Saket City Hospital vice chairperson Divya Modi-Tongya said. As per industry norm, about Rs 1 crore is required per bed in a tertiary care hospital, she added. Ms Modi-Tongya was speaking on the sidelines of launch of latest generation of ‘AlluraClarity biplane neuro DSA system’ at the hospital. In the current phase, the focus is to develop this hospital and later we would look for expansion opportunities outside, Ms Modi-Tongya said.
