Mumbai: Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK), a name that makes people laugh, angry and (some) adore him. A regular on Twitter, KRK has managed to spark some controversies. His recent Twitter war with ace comedian Kapil Sharma has become one of the famous celebs’ fights in history.
After meeting Kapil Sharma, Deccan Chronicle team spoke to KRK over phone to know his side of the story.
What’s the exact reason behind you targeting Kapil Sharma?
I never targeted Kapil Sharma. I have never tweeted about him. If I say few things about comedians, why Kapil thought it’s about him. It’s he who tweeted about me after getting drunk. Kapil said Mika Singh told him that I tweeted about Kapil calling him a 2Rsppl. Can Mika Singh or anyone else show me when did I tweet that? Media should go and speak to Mika why he said this to Kapil.
What do you think about Kapil Sharma?
Kapil is a fantastic comedian and I respect his work. I am happy to see him growing day by day in the industry. I don’t hold any grudge against him, therefore, have nothing bad to say about the superstar comedian of India.
What’s the reason of tweeting so much about famous personalities?
I just tweet my opinions on topics I think are worth talking about. If someone targets me, I don’t spare that person. Hansal Mehta unnecessarily took my name in one of his conversations, so I tweeted about him. Now media will blame me for my tweet but won’t ask him why he took my name when I have nothing to do with him.
What about your complaint against Sahil Peerzada at Versova police station?
I don’t want to talk about it. It’s not about a specific person; the complaint is against an unknown person who threatened me on the phone and police is investigating the matter.
What’s next?
I am busy with my business and unperturbed by some people against me. I am happy with the success of my movie ‘Ek Villain’, got and really appreciate the love I am getting from my fans.
Seems like Kamaal enjoys controversies like a kid enjoys a horse chariot ride. Let’s hope he tweets good things about people and stops intruding others’ space.
