Hyderabad: Producer, distributor and exhibitor Dil Raju bailed out his friend Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya’s film Autonagar Surya on the behest of the senior actor. And he may come to his rescue once again on the N Convention issue.
The film, which had been lying in the cans for the last two years, was released only after Dil Raju’s involvement. “Nagarjuna asked his friend Dil Raju to bail out the film. In exchange, Nagarjuna is doing a film for Dil Raju, a multi-starrer with Jr NTR, and Naga Chaitanya too has agreed to do a film for the producer,” says a source.
Nagarjuna may also take Dil Raju’s help to clear up the issue with ‘N’ Convention, which is under the scanner.
Though no official statement has been made by the GHMC or by any other government official, Nag wants to clear his name.
While Dil Raju has a political background and a lot of connections, Nagarjuna does not enjoy close ties with the new Telangana government.
Earlier he used to be friendly with the YSR family and the Congress government, but after the bifurcation, he doesn’t have much clout left. His relation with the TD is also not very good.
Sources say that the actor might send Dil Raju to negotiate with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao or other ministers to bail him out of the land issue.
“The actor is looking at all options to clear his name and Dil Raju is one of them,” says a source.
