Microsoft doubles its online storage space for OneDrive users

Microsoft announces free 15 GB space for OneDrive and 1 TB for Office users

Mumbai: Realising that the amount of data stored and shared on cloud by people now is taking giant strides, Microsoft has announced an increase in OneDrive storage plans. As opposed to the 7 GB space it offered earlier, OneDrive will now come with 15 GB storage space for free.

All versions of Office 365 will now come with 1 TB of OneDrive storage. According to the OneDrive Blog, “For Office 365 Home ($9.99/mo) you’ll get 1 TB per person (up to 5 people), and with Office 365 Personal ($6.99/mo) and University ($79.99/4yr) you will get 1 TB per subscription. This is a great follow on to our April announcement that all OneDrive for Business customers will get 1 TB of cloud storage per person too.”

Along with that, for users who need extra storage but they do not use Office 365, Microsoft is providing monthly subscription storage options at reduced prices. The monthly price for 100 GB space will now be available for $1.99 and $3.99 for 200 GB storage space.
