FIFA World Cup 2014: Greece, Japan match ends in draw

Both the teams have failed to open the deadlock in full time

Natal: Japan and Greece played out a goalless dar in Group C game played at Estiado Dus Dunas. Japan dominated possession throughout the match but even after Greece were reduced to 10 men in the 38th minute they failed to make it count. The Greeks played well and were rock solid at the back. The hopes of progression for both teams is still alive. Only Colombia are now through to the knockout stages.

20th min : Osaka curls the ball which misses the goal marginally

27th min: Katsouranis receives yellow card

29th min: Honda's dipping freekick was pairred away by Karnezis

35th min Gekas comes in for Mitroglou

37min : Katsouranis sent off after he receives second booking of the match

40th min : Torosidis goes close his shot blocked by Kawashima

Half time substitution Endo coming in for Hasebe

54th min : Samaras receives yellow card

56th min : Kagawa comes on to the field

59th min : Kawashima saves Gekas header directed towards goal

67th min : Big miss by Okubu as he blasts the ball over the goal Kagawa lays the ball for him at far post but he couldnt keep his shot down. Japan miss teh best chance to open the scoring.

71st min : Uchida this time fails to score again. The right back slides to connect the ball but couldnt direct it towards target.chance goes begging for Japan

77th min: Okubu's shot is saved by Karnezis

81st min: Greece substitution Salpingidis comes in for Kone

85th min : Japan have really tested Greece goal but have still failed to score the goal out of clear cut chances created. They have gone close but failed to convert the chances

88th min : Torosidis given yellow card for handball , the resulted freekick taken by Endo was saved by Karnezis
