Padmanabha treasure to be on display if Supreme Court wills

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that the treasures of Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple would be exhibited in a museum if the apex court gives its nod for such a proposal.

“Such mammoth treasure cannot be found in any other part of the world. The government will do its best to utilise this treasure for the benefit of society,” the CM said in the Asse-mbly on Wednesday. He also urged “moderation” in the criticism of the erstwhile royal family. “These were accumulated during the rule of the kings. That these treasure survived centuries reflects the inte-grity of the royal family,” he added.
