K Chandrasekhar Rao plans for state magazine, newspaper

Telangana CM named the magazine as ‘Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena’

Hyderabad: Along the lines of the Andhra Pradesh magazine, which used to be published by the united AP government, Telangana will also soon have its own government-run magazine to promote its programmes and welfare schemes.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao himself has taken personal interest in the magazine.

According to sources he has discussed the issue with government advisor K.V. Ramanachary and information commissioner R.V. Chandra Vadan.

Telangana Chief Minister named the magazine as ‘Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena.’

He told them, in the name of Telangana there are so many small magazines so he wants the name of the magazine to be different.

He told them to complete the formalities like the process of registration in the central government and said that the first magazine should come out in the month of July.

The Telangana Rastra Samiti, the ruling party in Telangana, is planning to start its own daily newspaper.

The TRS leaders came to this decision after some differences with Namaste Telangana’s managing director C.L. Rajam.

Mr Rajam has joined the BJP recently and his name was also considered by the BJP to field him as their candidate in Medak Lok Sabha by- election.

The by-election for Medak Lok Sabha seat is forced following the resignation of K. Chandrasekhar Rao who won the Assembly seat also.

The TRS sources said that the party leadership is considering the name for their daily newspaper as ‘Bangaru Telangana.’
