Bollywood stars work hard on their looks to give reality touch to the character

Mumbai: Anushka Sharma, who is playing a jazz singer in Bombay Velvet, had a separate call time on the sets from the rest. Reason? The look that she will be seen in, needed at least three hours for her to get ready. Her look is from the ‘50s. A source told us, “Most of the film has been shot in Sri Lanka and if Ranbir’s call time was at 9 in the morning, for her it used to be 6 am.
It would start with her fitting into the costume and having her trials. That would be followed by a hair sitting to get a look that fits into the character. There are specifications to the make-up that the director needed, so that too was a time-consuming process.” Niharika Khan has designed the costumes for Anushka Sharma in Bombay Velvet.
