Mamata Banerjee threatens to send her ministers to BJP ruled states

She was angry over BJP delegation visit to assess law & order situation

Kolkata: Possibly annoyed over the second visit of a delegation of the BJP from Delhi to assess the law and order situation in the state, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Sunday threatened to adopt a “tit-for-tat” policy against the ruling party at the Centre.

“We have been playing a constructive role with the Central government but the party at the Centre does not want to cooperate. If the Centre does not cooperate, then we will do the same. We will take a tit-for-tat approach. We can also send a Trinamul team to BJP-ruled states whenever there is an issue,” Ms Banerjee said.

“Joining hands with the CPM, the BJP has been trying to create communal tensions in the state,” she added.

A BJP team led by its vice-president Balbir Punj visited Illambazar in Birbhum on Sunday where party worker Rahim Sheikh was killed, allegedly by Trinamul-backed miscreants, on June 7.
