All existing AP code vehicles in Telangana would have to be changed within 4 months

Hyderabad: Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy said at the Secretariat on Wednesday that all new vehicles would be registered under the ‘TS’ code from June 12.
He added that all existing vehicles in Telangana with the AP code would have to be changed within four months and fresh numbers would be allotted to the old vehicles.
When asked about vehicle owners who had spent thousands, sometimes lakhs of rupees, to get fancy numbers earlier, the minister avoided the question and said that nothing had been decided and the department would come out with fresh modalities soon.
