Telangana Chief Minister to shift house within this week

CM has finally zeroed in on Bungalows No 8, 9 and 10 at Kundanbagh

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has chosen his new government-provided home and will move in within the week, according to sources close to the CM.

Mr Rao and his family performed special gruha pravesh pujas in bungalow No 9 at Kundanbagh near Begumpet on Monday at around 9am before attending the Assembly.

The CM had been house hunting and finally zeroed in on Bungalows No 8, 9 and 10 at Kundanbagh, where government bungalows for IAS and IPS officers are located.

Bungalow No 9 has been earmarked for the residential quarters and No 8 will be used by his security personnel. Bungalow No 10 will be the CM’s camp office where he will receive visitors.

CM’s official residence, camp office and security office have been renovated in line with Vaastu principles supervised by Vaastu expert Suddala Sudhakar Teja. Though the Chief Minister liked the sprawling camp office at Begumpet where his predecessors like Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, K. Rosaiah and N. Kiran Kumar Reddy lived, his well wishers advised him against staying in a bungalow which has not been particularly auspicious for three of them.
