Chennai: Rumors on actor Jai of Raja Rani fame converting to Islam was making its rounds in K’town for quite some time now. The buzz emerged after he started shooting for the film Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah where Nazriya Nazim is paired opposite to him. Reportedly, the movie, directed by Anees is touted to be a feel good entertainer and revolves around Hindu and Muslim weddings.
Though the actor denied converting to Islam, close sources to him inform us that he has been following Islam for the past one year. He had even kept Roza during last Ramzan.
Meanwhile, the actor also hinted about his affinity to Islam in his messenger site, with his status reading ‘Alhamdhulillah’, which added fuel to the gossip.
Now, the cat is out! The Subramaniyapuram actor was spotted alongside ace music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who announced his decision of embracing Islam few months back at a mosque here in T.Nagar. They both were seen coming out of the mosque after their prayer on Friday.
It may be recalled actress Monica recently announced that she embraced Islam and changed her name to Raheema.
