Around twenty-five films to be screened during month-end event

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cinema Directors’ Association is planning to organise a Telangana film festival in Hyderabad over the month-end.
“Yes, we are planning a festival and will screen films based on the Telangana subject,” says Allani Sridhar, president of the association. He adds that around 25 films were made in Telugu that focused on the region and these would be screened at the festival. “When it comes to Telangana cinema, the name of B. Narsing Rao comes in everybody’s mind.
His film Daasi won five National Film Awards. It is the only Telugu film which has got so many awards at the national level. His other films too won awards and we are going to screen most of his films,” said Sridhar.
