RBI governor Raghuram Rajan meets PM Narendra Modi
New Delhi: Narendra Modi’s first Sunday as the Prime Minister was a busy one, an indication of the days to come, keeping his ministerial colleagues on their toes. He called on vice-president Hamid Ansari and met Reserve Bank governor Raghuram Rajan, among other engagements.
Indicating that he will be a tough taskmaster, the PM has convened a meeting of the entire council of ministers on Monday. He is expected to set them on course over his 10-point agenda of governance ahead of the Parliament session that begins on Wednesday. He is likely to tell his ministers to focus on efficient governance and ensure time-bound implementation of programmes.
