K Chandrasekhar Rao's office in C block & Chandrababu Naidu's in block L

Hyderabad will be joint capital for the two states for the next 10 years

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-in-waiting N. Chandrababu Naidu’s office will be on the eighth floor of the L Block while Telangana Chief Minister-designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s on the sixth floor of the C Block on the Secretariat premises.

The government on Friday officially made provisional allocation of buildings in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area that will be the joint capital for the two states for the next 10 years, starting June 2, 2014.

In a way, the city stands divided between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as buildings belonging to all the government departments such as power, irrigation, medical and health, roads and buildings, youth advancement and tourism, transport, revenue, panchayat raj, housing, infrastucture, industries, women and child welfare among others and its undertakings have been distributed among the two states.
