Data pours into War Room

Number of Seemandhra staff in Telangana reaches 13,700

Hyderabad: The “War Room”, set up by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti to weed out Seemandhra employees, has received data of over 13,500 Seemandhra employees allegedly working in Telangana against norms.

The Telangana employees, who gathered the data of Seemandhra employees, submitted the details to the “War Room”, demanding their immediate repatriation after the bifurcation of the state.

The Telangana employees have complained that most of the Seemandhra employees came here on deputation against norms and are working in Hyderabad and surrounding districts on “medical” and “spouse” grounds.

Notwithstanding the criticism made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-in-waiting N. Chandrababu Naidu and several other Seemandhra leaders over the TRS setting up such a wing and naming it a “War Room”, pointing out that it would flare up regional tempers among the employees, the TRS continues to assure the Telangana employees that all “illegal” Seemandhra employees will be repatriated after the government is formed on June 2.

The “War Room” has received nearly 13,700 complaints so far. Of them, over 200 complaints were received directly from the Telangana employees. Another 600 complaints were received via e-mail and about 800 complaints through the website exclusively launched for the purpose.

“An analysis of these complaints found that nearly 13,700 Seemandhra employees are working in Telangana against norms. Most of them secured postings here through deputation and continue to work here on medical and spouse grounds. It was also found that a large number of Seemandhra employees submitted fake schooling certificates to claim nativity of Telangana from schools which are non-existent now, while some were brought from schools located in and around Hyderabad illegally,” said V. Srinivas Goud, the TNGOs leader and newly-elected TRS MLA from Mahbubnagar.

He added that Seemandhra teachers constituted the majority who had secured postings in and around Hyderabad against norms.

Mr Goud has been monitoring and analysing the complaints along with former TNGOs leader and TRS MLC K. Swamy Goud and TRS senior leader T. Harish Rao.

He said that they had decided to popularise the website further to create awareness among the Telangana employees in all the districts so that they gathered data of Seemandhra employees working in their respective offices and submitted the same.

Mr Goud added that the list of all such Seemandhra employees would be finalised after through scrutiny and would be handed over to party chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao after he took over as CM to take up the repatriation process at the earliest.
