Andhra Pradesh split not to affect Telangana-Seemandhra staff

All employees will continue to function from existing places after bifurcation

Hyderabad: All collectors, joint collectors and other employees in districts will continue to function from their existing places as usual even after bifurcation.

Chief secretary P.K. Mohanty has convened a meeting with the representatives of all employees’ associations on May 30 to convince them about accepting the Centre’s new proposal of continuing on an “as is, where is” basis.

“We request all the employees associations to keep aside their differences on division to enable both the new governments to function smoothly from June 2. They should realise that it’s only a temporary arrangement and final division will be made after both the governments take charge,” Mr Mohanty said.

Telangana employees’ associations meanwhile said that the CS’ comments proved beyond doubt that there would not be any change or division of employees before June 2 and everything would remain the same even after bifurcation in Secretariat and all the districts.

They doubted whether division of employees would be possible even after two years, given that there was no “seniority list” of employees working in the Secretariat, exposing the gross mal-administration of the respective governments all these years.
